For court reporters, videographers & interpreters
Getting job offers & joining firm pools
1. Get your account
- 1Fastest: sign up at depodispatch.com/signup (choose reporter, videographer, or interpreter).
- 2Already in the directory? Claim your free listing at courtreporter.co and tick "Activate my DepoDispatch account" — your account is created automatically when the claim is approved.
- 3One login everywhere: the same email & password works at depodispatch.com, depodepot.co, and courtreporter.co. Forgot it? Use Forgot password.
2. Set your service area & notifications
- 1Open Dashboard → Settings.
- 2Set your home city and service radius — jobs reach you by distance, so this controls what you're offered. Add certifications, realtime/steno capabilities, and languages.
- 3Pick how you're notified: email, SMS, or both; instant or an hourly digest; optional radius/parish filters and per-firm mutes. Urgent jobs (<24h) can override your filters so you never miss a same-day need.
3. Job offers — how they reach you
When a deposition matching your area posts, it lands on your Job Board and you get an instant email/SMS. Jobs cascade in tiers — firm pools first, then outward by distance — so the closer and more connected you are, the earlier you see it.
- 1Open the offer (email button or Dashboard → Job Board).
- 2Review the case, date, location, and services, then click Accept — first accept wins the job.
- 3Once you accept: the attorney is notified, the job goes on your calendar (subscribe from Dashboard → Calendar to sync your phone), and you get a reminder 24 hours before the deposition.
- 4Something changed? If the attorney edits or cancels, you're emailed immediately. If you must release a job, use Cancel my coverage on the job page and it re-enters the cascade for someone else.
4. Firm pools — get first look at jobs
Firms with their own pools route their jobs to pool members first, before the open network. Joining pools of firms you work with means earlier offers and more work.
- 1Open Dashboard → Firm Pools.
- 2Request to join the firms you cover for — they approve you on their end.
- 3You can belong to multiple pools and stay fully independent — pool membership adds offers, it never limits you. Freelancers who join no pools still receive open-network jobs by distance.
5. Videographers & interpreters
Everything above applies to you too: video and interpreting are their own cascades with their own boards (Dashboard → Job Board), the same notification preferences, and the same firm-pool system. Video even has its own per-state sponsor spot.
